One day aspiration as prime minister

To become a prime minister of any country is no child’s play but at the same time, it is not difficult either provided if you are a young, dynamic person with lots of confidence and strong leadership skills.

Prime ministers the world over including India have been aged people with years of political experience which is essential to some extent but anyone with the necessary aptitude and skills can also govern with ease and guide a country to a bright future.

If I happen to be the prime minister of a country then my first and foremost decision when I come to the office in the morning would be to dismiss all those who do not do their duties honestly,  who do not allow others to do their duties and those who accept bribes for getting things done.

I would bring in young, dynamic and brilliant minds to my cabinet that can deliver results with ease and stay clear of any controversy during their tenure. Moreover my emphasis would be on work ethics and transparency.

In addition to the above, I would visit every minister personally and enquire about their working style and work in progress of the particular minister and the time taken for generating results.

I would meet my subordinates on a daily basis and brief them about their day-today duties to get firsthand knowledge of the progress made and the developments taking place in their respective ministries. I would arrange a lok Adalat (people’s court) every week to discuss and solve public grievances and bring an end to the malpractices that creep in the functioning of the government machinery.

Important ministries like defense and Railways would get top most priority since they require huge budget allocations. I would enable effective communication between the above ministries and myself to get precise information about the pending projects they have and the required monetary allocation for the same.

I would make sure that there are no loop holes through which middlemen get their work done and get paid without my knowledge which would otherwise entail disciplinary action against the particular ministry.

Before ending my day I would make sure that every minister functioning under me is transparent and efficient in carrying out his or her duties and there is no possibility of any complaints from any of the stakeholders involved.
