Born in 1985, he is an Indian cricketer of considerable repute. He bats left-handed and occasional right-arm off break bowler; He plays for Delhi in domestic cricket and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL.

Dhawan’s debut was against Australia in October 2010 at Visakhapatnam. His played his first test match against the same opponents in March 2013 at Mohali where he scored the fastest century by any batsman on Test debut.

Dhawan played his maiden first-class match for Delhi against Andhra in November 2004. Dhawan had a decent run with the bat as far as domestic season is concerned. His performance had convinced the selectors that he be included within the playing eleven when Australia toured India in 2013.

He continued to prove his batting skills as the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad team where he decimated every opponent’s bowling attack with ease. His form continued unabated and he was selected to play the 2013 Champions Trophy, which was held in England. Luck was by his side and he was adjudged the player of the tournament for scoring the most runs during a single tournament.

He carried forward his form during the triangular series against West Indies and Srilanka where he was the leading run scorer. Similarly, in other tournaments also, Shikhar Dhawan was the envy of other players following his good performances within the domestic season, Dhawan was once more included in the Indian team for the 2017 Champions Trophy held in June 2017 in England.

In the IPL, he has played for different teams and lastly he has been representing Sunrisers Hyderabad under Captain David Warner.

Finally, Dhawan tied the knot with Melbourne-based Ayesha Mukherjee in 2012.
