It has been named as the city of lakes or Kashmir of Rajasthan. Well I am talking about the beautiful town of Udaipur which is a major city municipal corporation and the administrative headquarters of the Udaipur district in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It was the erstwhile capital of the kingdom of Mewar in the former Rajputana province.

It was founded by Maharana Udai Singh of the Sisodia Rajput community in 1553 when he shifted his capital from the city of Chittorgarh to Udaipur. Since then it has been the capital of the Mewar kingdom and it was not until 1818 when it became a British princely state, and thereafter it became a part of Rajasthan in 1947.

Best three star hotels in Udaipur

There are several of them and most of them are unique in their way of functioning. Most the three star hotels are either old forts or havelis and have been refurbished extensively to give a modern look. Udaipur as a city has plenty to offer in terms of royalty and traditional way of living. Its hotels are carved intricately and designed impeccably which add to its beauty altogether.

The hotels which I have mentioned above are the among the best ones and they compete with each other in order to attract maximum guests from within the country and outside. Most of the three star hotels charge a nominal rent for a night stay and one has to shell out extra if the stay is extended.

There is great demand for rooms in these hotels from overseas travellers due to their quality service and impeccable record. Guests from all over the world especially from Europe, America and Australia prefer to stay in these hotels that offer good overall ambience and entertain the guests to a great extent.

Udaipur has found a place in the world tourism map due to its extravagant and exotic hotels. More and more travellers both domestic and overseas choose Udaipur as their destination of choice which has everything to offer to all kinds of travellers according to their budget.

To end this story, I would like to certify that Udaipur is the place to be if you are in Rajasthan. Its flamboyant and exquisite hotels are the reminders of the city’s royal past and modern future. I would personally recommend Udaipur to my near and dear ones since it has lot to offer as far as tourism is concerned.
