Status in Society is paramount for all us
What does status denote in real terms? Does the word status is elusive? We all know that status denotes prominence or dignity to be precise. Every person aspires to achieve the status of a certain degree in society.
The things that give status to us are wealth, fame, and our assets. Wealth is the foremost thing every one of us would like to earn and invest in. Fame comes on its own and is difficult to inherit. Whereas assets like car, bungalow, or acres of land come to us with the help of wealth.
People usually have unexpected desires to make money and reach a level that gives them fame in the society. Some succeed in their endeavor, whereas others fail to make an impression.
It is a fact that wealth alone cannot give fame in the society; a good personality with a meritorious position would enhance a person’s image and give him unprecedented status in society.
To make an impression and achieve a certain degree of prestige, it is paramount to work towards our goal of self-realization. Achieving our goal should be the topmost priority for all of us.
We as human beings have an appetite for material life since our childhood. We struggle to digest the fact that having a material life is not easy by any means. We fail to realize that it requires hard work and luck to favor us before we lay our hands on material things.
Wealthy people argue that their fame and wealth has given them peace of mind and stature in society. That is true to some extent but not all wealthy people are upbeat about their life and their possessions.
To get peace of mind, one needs to have physical and mental stability, which plays a vital role in our high ranking in society. Having a healthy lifestyle and zero worries would surely give us the distinction and stature in society.
Therefore, fame, wealth, and assets are all temporary and that will one-day part ways. They give us status in society that does not last long. They remain with us as long as we are alive and do not accompany us if we die.
Never get carried away by wealth, fame, and material possessions. Never long for material life if we are not able to contend with it. Take life as it comes and enjoys whatever God has given us. Be blessed and stay contented.
Life is short and so do all the possessions we amass during our lifetime. Never feel ashamed of yourself and never lose your dignity even if you belong to the lower strata of society. Lead life king-size and enjoy life to the fullest.
