Toilet hygiene is paramount

It is essential to sanitize our bathrooms and toilets all the time and much has been said and written about it in the print media. Studies have revealed that one of the biggest concerns people have when visiting washrooms while away from home, is touching contaminated washroom surfaces.

Whenever we flush our toilet, droplets of water spray up from the bowl and land on the surrounding areas. They are quite visible and may contain infection-spreading bacteria that can cause skin infection and allergy. These bacteria remain stagnant and can come into contact with any human after flushing.

A lot of companies have come up with their bespoke toilet hygiene products and services around the world and any reluctance regarding toilet hygiene is instantly removed from the minds of visitors and toilet users regarding hygiene levels and this, in turn, increases their confidence level several notches higher.

In India, hygiene has been a major issue in villages and cities alike. We are known to avoid hygiene etiquette due to a variety of reasons and this has led to spate of diseases and skin infections among our people.

There is a government initiative for toilet hygiene in India and increasing number of people in the villages, and cities across India are becoming aware of toilet seat hygiene, and the ways to keep it sanitized every time it is used.

In fact, the current situation is not alarming as it was a few years ago and has improved to a significant extent. People are made aware of the unhygienic conditions that may arise due to non-maintenance of toilet seats and its side effects. Major NGOs are doing their bit to educate people residing in villages, cities, and towns across the length and breadth of our country.

To conclude here it would be wise to opine that hygiene is paramount when it comes to personal hygiene and any let up would be disastrous for our health.
